Now I'm going to assume you already know what GarageBand is. I mean it's been advertised everywhere and I don't think I've seen an iPad which doesn't have it installed. And Apple has done a pretty good job making a piece of software which everyone wants.
But the problem with this is they only made it for the Mac. And that's fair really. I mean if Microsoft made GarageBand then it probably wouldn't work for Mac users. So getting GarageBand for Windows wouldn't work. I mean sure you could download it - but you're not going to be able to run it unless you go get yourself a Mac.
Macs are pretty but I don't agree with the idea that Mac users are the only ones who can do the creative stuff and using a PC is just for boring work and stuff like that. Sure it was some clever marketing from Apple to get everyone wanting to buy a Mac but I mean come on. There's nothing you can do on a Mac that you can't do with a PC and that includes making some seriously sick beats.
How does that old song go - anything you can do, I can do better. Well we're here to teach YOU how to make some sick beats so you can show up all your Mac using friends. Actually we go a little further than that, we're going to show you how to not only make music from your PC but also how to promote yourself online and get people dying to hear your next track. It's actually a lot easier than most people think.
Now rather than give you a list of programs like GarageBand for Windows we package our software advice with our training. We used to just suggest what software to use but the same thing would happen each and every time. People would get the software and get stuck with it. Eventually they'd just quit.
If you came here with the dream of making music. Whether it's to remix a song you like, make something interesting to show people or even to dig up some crazy music skills and get famous with them. Imagine how I'd feel if I let people just come here and dash their dreams away.
Do you really want to put that on my conscious? I'd hope not. We don't give up on people. My job now is to make sure you can make some sick beats and to make sure you do it without having to buy yourself a Mac. That involves everything from getting you a GarageBand for PC alternative, teaching you how to use it, showing you some great beats to inspire you and (best of all) teach you how to really do something with your music. And rather than overwhelm you we're going to space it out by email to make sure you get the most of it. If we just babbled everything down you'd read through it and forget it. So instead we're going to take this opportunity to get you taking our (free) training.
Now we do have a download link on our homepage which will let you skip all the training and just get to the software if you really don't want to listen to me. But honestly downloading the software is only half the battle. It's easy to spout out any old beat and that's what a lot of people do. But if you want people to listen to you then you need to make something worth listening to. And even the best beats in the world are going nowhere without some good promotion.
So we wrap everything into an email training course. You get a few emails from us, a few videos and a few download suggestions. We'll answer your questions and we do something that nobody else does - we show you how to actually get yourself fans.
So maybe there is no official GarageBand for Windows but that shouldn't stop you because there are plenty of great alternatives which can do a better job. And on top of that you have access to some of the best training to actually get the most out of it. And (even better) we've made getting started easy:
